The other person is assaulting my parents. Is this grounds for divorce?
Yes, it is grounds for divorce.
If the other spouse assaults my parents, Article 840 of the Civil Code states as follows:
It may be recognized as a ground for divorce as it falls under item 4 among the grounds for divorce recognized by the court.
The court ruled that the ground for divorce under Article 840, Paragraph 4 of the Civil Act was 'the person's lineal ascendant is separated from his or her spouse.
‘When you have been treated very unfairly’ means that the lineal ascendant of one of the parties to the marriage is Violence or abuse to the extent that
it would be considered harsh to force the continuation of a marital relationship,
or Since it is ruled that this occurs when one is insulted (Seoul High Court decision 2018Le24219, May 1, 2019),
